Hiking the Rainbow Range

Hiking near Nimpo Lake Resort

Access to one of British Columbia’s most striking wilderness areas.

Nimpo Lake Resort sits along Highway 20, the gateway to the Rainbow Range and Tweedsmuir Provincial Park. Day hikes range from short walks to longer alpine routes, depending on the season and experience level.

Most hikes are unguided and require preparation. Guests are encouraged to check conditions, carry proper gear, and plan conservatively.

Open alpine meadows and volcanic colours. Snow can linger into July; the best window is late July–September. Carry layers, an offline map or GPS and bear spray and check advisories.
