Highway 20 leads to Nimpo Lake on BC’s West Chilcotin. Services are sparse—fuel and stock up in Williams Lake.

We operate seasonally (May–October), with Mary Cabin and Rainbow Lodge open year-round. Read the notes below, then check availability.

Getting Here

  • Williams Lake / Bella Coola drive times: Approx. 3.5 hours from Williams Lake; about 3 hours to Bella Coola. Highway 20 includes “The Hill,” a steep, narrow section—avoid driving at night.
  • Final approach (Nimpo Creek Rd): Gravel surface—proceed slowly.
  • Fuel & supplies: Stock up in Williams Lake, where fuel and groceries are cheapest. Fewer, more expensive options west of Williams Lake.
  • Road & weather: Check DriveBC and Environment Canada before travel.

Arrival & Stay Basics

  • Check-in / Check-out: Check-out 10:00 AM; Check-in 3:00 PM. Self check-in—go directly to your cabin and use the code provided in your pre-arrival email.
  • Parking & internal roads: Parking at each cabin; trailers to the RV area.
  • Dock & waterfront: No lifeguard; parents/guardians must supervise children at all times; PFDs required in boats. Resort staff do not manage.
  • Wi-Fi: Resort-wide coverage; mobile reception can be limited—enable Wi-Fi calling.
  • Heating & hot water: See each cabin page for specifics.
  • Kitchen & cooking: All cabins, except Glamping, have full kitchens; outdoor BBQs are provided. Stock up in Williams Lake.
  • Septic & waste: Toilet paper only; follow posted garbage/recycling and wildlife-safe practices.
  • Pets: By prior approval; fees apply (see Policies).

Food & Supplies

There are minimal grocery stores or restaurants within walking distance.

Guests should plan to bring groceries and any specialty items. The nearest complete services are in Williams Lake, approximately three hours away by road.

All cabins include basic kitchen facilities appropriate to their category. Please review individual cabin details for specific amenities.

What This Place Is / Is Not

Nimpo Lake Resort is best suited to guests who enjoy simplicity and quiet.

This is not a luxury resort or a highly serviced destination. There is no front desk concierge, daily housekeeping, or an organized activity schedule.

What guests do find here is space, nature, and time — with the freedom to set their own pace.

A good fit if you’re looking for

  • Simple, well-kept accommodations

Not a good fit if you expect

  • Full-service hospitality or on-site dining
  • Guided tours or structured activities
