When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

High-Speed Internet Usage (On-Site)
While at the resort, our Fiber Optic WiFi is provided for your convenience. We do not monitor your private browsing traffic; however, we may collect basic network diagnostics to ensure the stability and security of the high-speed connection for all guests.

- Convenience: If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your details in cookies so you don’t have to fill them in again. These last for one year.
- Login Status: If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. If you log in, we set cookies to save your login info (2 days) and screen display choices (1 year).
- Performance: We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our site, which helps us optimize our SEO and content.

- We use WebRezPro, a secure third-party Property Management System, to process and manage your reservations. When you use our online booking engine, your personal and payment data is collected directly by WebRezPro on our behalf.
- Data Security: All transaction data is encrypted using industry-standard SSL technology.
- Payment Processing: Payment details are processed in accordance with PCI DSS standards. Nimpo Lake Resort does not store your full credit card information on our local website servers.

5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Data is only shared:
- With service providers necessary to complete your booking.
- If you request a password reset (your IP address will be included in the reset email).

6. How Long We Retain Your Data
- Comments: Retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
- User Profiles: For registered users, we store the information provided in their profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal info at any time (except their username).
- Booking Records: Retained for the period required by Canadian tax and legal regulations.
7. Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
