Welcome to Nimpo Lake Resort. By completing your booking through our WebRezPro system, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the following terms.
Section #1: Booking, Occupancy & Nature of Stay
- Tourism & Vacation Purpose (RTA Exclusion): All accommodations are provided strictly for temporary tourism and vacation purposes. In accordance with Section 4(e) of the British Columbia Residential Tenancy Act (RTA), these premises are exempt from the RTA. Guests acknowledge that no residential tenancy or possessory rights are created.
- Rates & Occupancy: Cabin rates are based on double occupancy. Additional persons are charged at $50.00 per person per day. Children under 12 years old stay free.
- Self Check-in & Check-out: We offer a flexible, contactless self-check-in experience. Check-in is at 3:00 PM and Check-out is at 10:00 AM. Late check-out may be available for an additional $30 per hour.
- Registered Guests Only: Only registered guests are permitted on the property overnight to ensure security in our unmanned facility.
Section #2: Unmanned Facility & Safety
- Self-Service Operations: Nimpo Lake Resort operates as a self-service, unmanned facility. No on-site staff or lifeguards are present.
- Emergency Contact: For support, reach us via WhatsApp at 250-742-3239 or EMAIL info@nimpolakeresort.com. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911 immediately.
- Guest Responsibility: Guests are responsible for their own safety and for reviewing all safety guides provided in their digital welcome package.
Section #3: Resort Rules & Damages
- Non-Smoking Facility: We are a NON-SMOKING / VAPING FACILITY. Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside all cabins. A remediation fee will be charged for any violations.
- Damage & Violation Fee: You agree to pay up to a $2000.00 fee for violating resort rules or causing significant damage to the property.
- Property Care: Guests are responsible for the cost of repairing significant damage or excessive cleaning (e.g., removal of strong scents or washing of dishes).
Section #4: Fire Safety & Wildfire Liability
- Fire Bans: Guests must strictly adhere to all BC Wildfire Service fire bans.
- Campfire Safety: Campfires are only permitted in designated fire pits and must be completely extinguished with water before being left unattended.
- Financial Liability: Guests assume full financial responsibility for any wildfire-related costs or government fines resulting from negligence or violation of fire bans.
Section #5: Watercraft & Lake Safety
- Non-Motorized Only: We provide complimentary non-motorized canoes and kayaks. We do not provide motorized boat rentals or motorized pontoon boats.
- Mandatory PFDs: Per Canadian law, all users must wear a Life Jacket (PFD) while on the water.
- Risk Acknowledgment: Guests acknowledge that Nimpo Lake poses hazards, including hidden underwater objects and sudden wind changes. Use of watercraft is solely at the guest’s risk.
Section #6: Modern Amenities & Internet
Uptime Disclaimer: While we strive for reliability, 100% uptime is not guaranteed due to our remote location. Service interruptions do not qualify for refunds or credits.
Fiber Optic WiFi: Complimentary high-speed fiber optic internet is provided as an amenity.
Section #7: Pet Policy
- Dog Friendly: We allow up to 2 pets per room. A fee of $30 per pet per room applies.
- Restricted Breeds: Pit Bulls or Pit Bull Mixed Breeds are NOT ALLOWED.
- Pet Rules: Pets must stay off the furniture and should not be left alone in cabins unless in a dog crate.
Section #8: Cancellations & Road Closures
- Road Closures: If BC Transport closes Hwy 20 or Hwy 1 for more than 4 hours around check-in time, a future credit (valid for 365 days) will be issued for the deposit amount.
- Wildfires: If the resort area receives an Evacuation Order/Alert from BC Wildfire Service, guests are free to cancel without penalty.
Section #9: Waiver of Liability
Guests hereby release, extinguish, and forever discharge Nimpo Lake Resort from any and all actions, damages, or injuries resulting from the use of our facilities, watercraft, self-check-in processes, or any amenities provided.
